The Pebble & The Shoreline.

It was one of those rarified days where the ocean looked like a mirror reflecting the heavens above. 

There wasn’t a wave in sight and not even a gentle breeze. 

Still. Be still.

He pulled a small pebble from his pocket, one he collected on an earlier walk.

With a final glance upon this perfectly still, serene waterscape that was before him he threw that pebble as far as he could.

The sound reverberated with a single plop and the pebble was swallowed to be one with the ocean floor. 

From a single ripple, it grew, stretching out further and reaching beyond where the pebble, only moments ago, entered. 

Ripple by ripple each expanding to the beach, altering the entire shoreline as far as he could see.

You and I live in an ocean of motion.

You are a glorious mixture of particles and atoms, a gleaming soul, encased in skin. Far more than the body that houses you. 

Everything you do.

From the thoughts, actions and deeds have an effect on how everything else operates.

It is all interrelated but just as you cannot see your hair or nails grow you need to use your higher thinking to see that you matter in a far deeper and more important way than your current situation, station or lot in life. 

The entire universe would not operate in the exact order it does without you. 

For the moments you don’t think you matter or you don’t have any power remember that when you cast a pebble into an ocean you alter the entire shoreline across the world.
