Crossing The Rubicon.

In 49BC Julius Caesar confidently walked across the Rubicon, a shallow river in Northeastern Italy with his Legion of Soldiers with the sole focus to confront Pompey and become the leader of Rome.

This single act was illegal under Roman Law and sparked a civil war that ultimately saw Julius win become Roman dictator for life.

This is where the term "crossing the Rubicon" comes from.

It is the point of no return.

Once you take that final step, there is no turning back.

It's a moment of courage which is not the absence of fear but the confidence to go forward in the face of fear.
